This curvaceous gourd shaped jade feels so wonderful in the hand. It seems like such a simple form at first glance. Then you realize that creating such a perfectly balanced and curved jade completely by hand is truly an art form. The delicious color of celadon, and just so good. Gourds... protection and good fortune. The bail and ring are 14k yellow gold. The jade carving dates from the 19th century, made into a pendant in the 20th century.
